Advertising and promotion are key to a successful event.  It's never too early to start!

Social media

  • Use interesting images and graphics reflecting the event (e.g. state geology, students, universities, logos)
  • Promote your committee
  • Highlight speakers and key sponsors
  • Schedule future posts on Facebook for efficiency
  • To share your social media with the GSA office, email [email protected] or send a message to GSA Twitter and Facebook account

GSA promotion

TAG magazine is the GSA’s quarterly magazine that helps you to reach potential decision-makers and sponsors. The committee will prepare a short article ready for each issue to help promote your event.

Get creative

  • Online photo competition – a fun reason for regular posts!
  • Posters around departments/campus
  • Email your department (e.g. draft an email for the Head of School to circulate)
  • Attend local conferences/symposia and talk to potential sponsors about your event
  • The GSA Office and Governing Councillors will encourage people from all sectors to attend the conference.If you feel that we can do something to help, do not hesitate to contact us.
