Geology of the Australian Capital Territory
The 1:100,000 scale "Geology of the Australian Capital Territory" geological map, GIS CD (geological map plus additional data), and ACT geological guidebook "A Geological Guide to Canberra region and Namagi National Park" are now available.
The Guidebook
"A Geological Guide to Canberra Region and Namadgi National Park" (140 pages + CD) provides an up-to-date review of the geological history in the Canberra – Queanbeyan region and Namadgi National Park. The region described extends to Lake George, Captains Flat, Jerangle, Bredbo, Yaouk, Bungendore, Blue Waterholes, Sutton, Brindabella and Wee Jasper.
The Map
The map provides a compilation of the geology of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) at 1:100,000 scale, and shows the location of sites of geological interest.
The GIS Compact Disc (CD)
The GIS compact disc (CD) contains all the data on the geological map and additional data. It contains geographic information (GIS) software to display the detailed geological information on a personal computer.
